(Verse 1) I could scream just a little bit harder Just so you could finally hear I could drown just a little bit faster Your intentions would become clear
I could show you what it feels like To wallow around in your own misery We’ve got all the time in the world ‘Cos your words are so devoid of meaning to me
(Chorus) Death doesn’t know me anymore With blood drops falling on the floor Death doesn’t know me anymore I think I’m gaining focus, ‘cos I don’t worry anymore
(Verse 2) Sometimes love gets kinda confused And you don’t know where else to turn ‘Cos while you’re searching for affection Death comes along to help it burn
But I’ve been watching how you treat me And I’ve realized a solitary thing No matter how many times you beat me You’ll never know the joys that real life can bring
(Chorus) Death doesn’t know me anymore With blood drops falling on the floor Death doesn’t know me anymore I think I’m gaining focus, ‘cos I don’t worry anymore
(Guitar Solo)
(Chorus)

I like the way it all flows together, and how at the beginning it talks about all these human emotions and problems everyone faces, and how death of a loved one or someone close just intensifies these emotions that much more. But at the end the person has changed and they no longer fear death, no longer feel these emotions that hurt and confuse them. They are free.

Just came back to read my own lyrics, seeing as I lost the original lyrics sheet. I'm surprised at how far my songwriting has matured, actually. I mean I guess these lyrics are ok, but I think I can produce a whole lot better these days.

I mean I guess these lyrics are ok, but I think I can produce a whole lot better these days. Yeah, I feel exactly the same about my artwork. Just compare my History of Wendigo comic (which I did in December) to volumes 4 and 5 (which were done just a few months ago).
