This is another Kyo Kara Maoh fanfic. it sort of continues from the other one, this is the couples wedding.
‘Oh this is just so wonderful! My dear Conrart happily married! And to such a wonderful and beautiful girl! You make such the nicest couple, oh I am so happy!’ Lady Cecilie von Spitzberg babbled happily. Lady Keilara von Shunstara’s smile was slightly strained as she listened to the previous Maoh. She was glad her masquerade mask covered most of her face.
‘Keilara you do look truly beautiful! You have such excellent taste for colour and style but I do wish you had let me choose your gown, I’m sure I could have found something far more…’ Celi paused dramatically and Keilara had to resist the incredibly strong urge to roll her eyes, ‘flashy!’ Celi’s face was bright beneath her mask and Keilara suppressed a sigh, not wishing to dampen her enjoyment.
‘Mother!’ the indignant voice announced the arrival of Lord Wolfram von Bielefeld. Even with the mask obscuring almost all of his face he was instantly recognisable by his vivid blonde hair and his violent temper. A frown was obvious on his face despite the mask as he stormed up to the ladies. Following him was Lady Kimaisa von Beatrix, also easily recognised, her by her dark purple hair. She looked slightly uncomfortable in the beautiful blue ball gown she wore but the result was stunning.
‘I have been looking everywhere for you mother!’ Wolfram’s voice was accusing but Celi appeared not to notice.
‘Wolfie darling! You look so handsome!’ Celi pounced on her youngest son gleefully.
‘Mother, please get off of me!’ Wolfram managed to get her off and began to pull her away with him. ‘I need to come over here with me.’ He dragged her away with him and she waved at Keilara happily. Kimaisa sighed, shrugged and grinned at Keilara and headed off after them.
‘Mother certainly seems to be enjoying herself.’ Keilara turned to her new husband as he walked up to her, his usual smile on his face.
‘Conrad!’ Keilara planted her hands on her hips and attempted to glare up at him. The effect was ruined by the beautiful purple ball gown that she wore, the intricate and delicate mask and by the happy smile on her face.
‘You coward! How could you leave me alone with her?’ Conrad just smiled and took her hand, turning her around slightly so as too see the guests filling the hall. People were smiling and laughing as they tried to identify their friends beneath their masks.
‘I'm glad we decided to have a Masquerade ball for our wedding,’ Keilara said as she rested her head on Conrad’s shoulder, straightening her mask as it moved, ‘everyone is having so much fun.’ Conrad smiled down at his bride, warmed by her happiness.
‘You’re only happy ‘cos you didn’t get dressed by Lady Celi!’ a cross voice said. The newly married couple turned to see Reina Meiyu standing behind them. She was standing with her arms crossed and her mask couldn’t conceal the disgusted expression on her face. Her bright pink ball gown was extravagant with frills and lace everywhere and she look decidedly uncomfortable.
‘I had a very nice red gown chosen which I was going to wear but then Lady Celi kidnapped me and forced me into this thing! I was lucky that I got to keep my mask!’ Keilara couldn’t keep from giggling and earned herself a glare.
‘Well mother always did want a daughter to dress up.’ Conrad said, smiling.
‘What about her!’ Reina pointed at a still giggling Keilara, ‘Now that you two’re married Lady Celi’s got a daughter!’
Keilara grinned impishly, ‘Heh, I know exactly what’s Lady Celi’s like with this sort of thing. I’ve had a lot of practice avoiding her and I spent that last few weeks putting all that practice to good use. Did you see the dress she wanted me to wear?’ Keilara shuddered in horror then grinned again.
‘Would the bride and groom please make their way to the dance floor!’ the announcement interrupted all talk and the guests were silent as Conrad lead Keilara to the middle of the dance floor. The guests formed a ring around the edges of the hall as the music began and the couple started to dance. The song ended to resounding applause and three more couples made their way to the dance floor as the opening bars to the second song began. Keilara giggled as Kimaisa and Wolfram took their place, Wolfram muttering and grumbling until Kimaisa stomped on his foot. Reina was also grumbling as she and Ken Murata took their place, Ken was just grinning happily and paying no attention to his partners muttering. Even Conrad struggled to keep from laughing as Anissina von Karbelnikoff and Gwendal von Voltair took their place. Anissina was clearly having a wonderful time, grinning and laughing but Gwendal looked frankly terrified. The four pairs danced the second song to even more applause and when the third song began most of the guests joined the couples on the dance floor. Two pairs immediately left the dance floor, causing Keilara to laugh hysterically. Wolfram was running away from Kimaisa who was limping after him, yelling about him stepping on her foot. Gwendal was also hurrying off, clearly trying to escape Anissina who was trying to drag him back again.
Keilara was laughing and smiling as Conrad spun her around the dance floor and she murmured to him, ‘I love you Conrad.’
Conrad smiled, ‘I love you too.’
